Whew,As im writing this review right now I still can’t get over this game.When I say fun and great story thats exactly what I mean.First let’s start with the story. Your in this plane and out of nowhere your plane blows up and lands in the ocean which just so happends to leave you near a building that takes you to an under water city called rapture. A city thats beautiful to look at cause it still has bright lights,sky skrapers and whales oh yes I said bright lights. You soon find out that your not alone as a guy by the name of atlas pops up on your radio and starts guiding you through the game.You also bump into this lady sorry I forgot her name I think it was thurman anyway she ends up telling you about the little sisters which are these young girls who walk around taking other peoples mojo…..well they call it atom.If you find them she would like for you to save them and if you do she will repay you with gifts but you also have the choice to harvest them for their atom which I will tell you soon whats that for. The thing is it’s not just her there’s a huge bouncer in a submarine suit they call the big daddies.These are the guys who protect the little sisters from rapture but the thing is you have to fight these “mid bosses” after you beat them the girls give you atom. Going back to what I said before about choosing to rescue the girls or harvest them,if you decide to rescue them you get less atom then when you harvest them but at the same time the lady will give you a gift after a certain amount.so the choice is yours,more gifts or more atom?
Atom is what gives you your powers and this is where the game gets really fun.Fire,ice,lighting you name it you got it,all kinds of powers are there for you as you go through the game and you can choose when and what powers you want but of course you got to get that atom. What makes it even more fun to have these powers is the enviroment of the game from water that you can use to electrecute your enemies to using oil to burn them its all there for your strategy of attack.You can even hack machines like camera’s and terrants which will also help you in battle,you can even hack vending machines to knock down prices.
Honestly I could have played this game with no guns and still love it as much as i do now,even though the rocket launcher was a life saver. From here on out it’s mostly about you going through the game and finding out why you ended up in this city and who is the person running it.
Not much to say about the gameplay since it is a shooter. The game moves very smooth no freezing or glitches to complain about,the only thing I would complain about is the end but im pretty sure there are alternate endings since you get the choice to either harvest or rescue the little sisters. My review might have seen pretty long for the game but even all this writing I did still does’nt do the game justice, so if you have a 360 or a comp that can handle the pc version then get off your chair now and go buy this game
