Brok World Order!

Brok Records was at digital life two weeks ago. Oh, the reason where posting this up now? Well, first, we’re lazy. Second, I wanted to wait for the pictures before I put this up. Lastly, the expo was trash!!! We didn’t have a booth set up, but we did get to spy around and check out what fellow nerds….uh, I meant what these nerds had set up.

Let me start off with the good first. I got my hands on Crysis, the new ‘it’ game for the PC. Well, I didn’t really get my hands on it. I got to see one of the programmers/game testers playing it. He ask if anyone wanted to play. I thought about grabbing the mouse, but then I thought dude was moving through the game with ease. Going to checkpoints, capturing the flag, giving enemies head shots with his rocket launcher. There was no way I was following up after him.

I will say this about the game, it was unfuckingbelievable! Graphically, it’s one of the sweetest games to grace a Hard Drive. The only problem with Crysis was that it was next to a game I actually wanted to buy, Hellgate: London. Spurs vs Cavs, Mike Tyson vs Peter McNeely, USA vs any in the world cup. Thats how it felt seeing Hellgate and Crysis in the same booth. A huge mismatch. I know their different games, but you don’t put tenderloin filet mignon in the same aisle as White Rose Turkey Bacon. Well, I know I didn’t when I worked at Stop and Shop.

The last great thing about the expo was the Nokia N95 8gb. God set foot back on earth and help design this phone. It features a 5 mega pixel Carl Zeiss optics, integrated A-GPS, WLAN and HSDPA support. This Nokia N95 also features a new luminous 2.8″ QVGA display, making it convenient to watch videos or when using the navigation functionality of the device. Oops…. I mean it has a 5 megapixel camera, a voice activated GPS Naviagation System, DVD quality recorder that records up to 20 hours of video, a Mp3 player that can store over 6000 songs.  It does everything the Iphone does, but for only $400 more. Therefore, Nokia can kiss my ass. When they drop the price I’ll get it.

That was all that impressed me at the expo. I was surrounded by Dance Dance Revolution geeks, A Black Luigi, and countless 300lb guys with their 232lb girlfriends. You watch these expo’s on G4 and see hot girls, new game demos and pimped out booths. But when you get their your treated to expensive lemonade (that shit cost me $3) and security, that stops you from walking to another booth with the N95. Next expo I go to will the be the Porn expo in Vegas!
