There seems to be a lot of karate movies (3) on the market this year, but only one has caught my eye. Out of Redbelt, The Forbidden Kingdom and Never Back Down, Redbelt looks the best. Even though I find it hard to believe Denzel Washington’s right tit hand man “Chiwetel Ejiofor” can do a back flip. But the story looks interesting and they have a lot of good actors in it. So maybe, just maybe, I might shell out 2 hours of bandwidth for this movie.
Plot: The story of Mike Terry, a Jiu-jitsu master who has avoided the prize fighting circuit, choosing to instead pursue a life of honor and education by operating a self-defense studio in Los Angeles. Terry’s life is dramatically changed however when he is conned by a cabal of movie stars and promoters. In order to pay off his debts and regain his honor Terry must step into the ring for the first time in his life.

I believe dude can totally do a blackflip. He may have been Denzel homie in INSIDE MAN but I first seen him in SERENITY. He was the bad ass assassin ninja in that movie. So him doing this doesn’t surprise me at all. I do wanna check this out. we should do a preview showdown btwn all these movies…

He threw people on swords and poked them in their neck in SERENITY. I didn’t see any black flips done in that movie (yep I said black flips).
BTW…Serenity was a great movie.

1. you BOTH are nerds for saying serenity was a dope movie (which it was, along w/ the equally dope serious)
2. Chiwetel Ejiofor is that dude. he still hasnt made a bad flick. even if he was in a cross dressing movie about leather boots. not sayin ive seen it or anything….
